About the Role

This position plays a key role in the Infrastructure and Operations division, working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in asset management, with experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems, including Microsoft Office suite and Business Management Systems.

They will also have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, develop a culture of customer-centricity, and reshape how services are delivered to maximize value.

About You

  • Minimum Trade qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership with the Asset Management Council
  • Basic asset management skills in water and waste asset types, including asset renewal and maintenance strategies, concepts, theories, techniques, and principles
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems
  • Demonstrated experience in performing asset maintenance and renewal improvement programs
  • 2 years of working experience in a similar role
  • Current Queensland "C" class driver's license
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Council policy, procedures, and practices, relevant legislations, codes, and guidelines relating to the Queensland Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards
