Job Opportunity: Expert Legal Counselor for Data Protection

  • We are seeking a seasoned professional to provide expert legal counsel on privacy and data protection issues.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise with the Privacy Act, a proven track record in negotiating data processing agreements (DPAs), and outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities include delivering expert legal counsel on privacy and data protection issues, facilitating understanding and adherence to Privacy laws, developing commercial agreements that include information law clauses, creating privacy policies, consent forms, and compliance documentation, and offering strategic guidance on compliance reporting and data tracking requirements.

Key Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in an in-house legal setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and negotiating comprehensive data privacy and data processing agreements to ensure full compliance with legal requirements and protection of sensitive information.
  • In-depth understanding of privacy law, supported by proven experience in the field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment while effectively communicating complex information.
