Legal Content Specialist in Cybersecurity and Data Protection

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a legal content specialist in cybersecurity and data protection. As a seasoned lawyer with experience in Australian legal practices, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality practical legal content.

About the Role

The primary objective of this role is to create and maintain up-to-date, practical legal content related to cybersecurity and data protection. This may involve collaborating with external specialist authors to produce new materials and providing support to Relationship Managers to enhance brand awareness and influence market share among clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and maintaining practically-focused content and resources for our popular Practical Guidance product.
  • Developing and editing legal content on topics such as data privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Collaborating with external authors to create new content and materials.
  • SUPPORTING RELATIONSHIP MANAGERS TO ENHANCE BRAND AWARENESS AND INFLUENCE MARKET SHARE AMONG CLIENTS AND STAKEHOLDERS.

This is a full-time permanent position that offers flexibility in terms of work arrangements, including the option to work from home. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the practical processes involved in a lawyer's workflow and a passion for creating engaging and informative content.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer in Australia.
  • A strong background in Australian legal practices with experience or a strong interest in data privacy and/or cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills.
  • An aptitude for building and fostering relationships with diverse clients and local and international stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
