Medicare Billing Specialist Position

I-MED Radiology, Australia's largest provider of medical imaging services, is seeking a skilled Medicare Billing Specialist to fill this key role.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in radiology practices, strong attention to detail, and a structured approach. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring high-quality and expert care across the Network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report billing compliance across the Network in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Identify high-risk billing compliance areas and review/ implement billing processes.
  • Provide support to the business, answering queries and clarifying appropriate billing practices.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, General Managers, Regional Managers, Clinic Leaders, and Billing Governance Leads to continually improve billing compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years' experience in radiology practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, methodical thinking, and structured approach.
  • Detailed knowledge of MBS, Medicare rules, and workers compensation.
  • Strong knowledge of I-MED Billing Policies.
  • Intermediate data analytics and Excel skills.
  • High-level organisational & time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport and influence people at all levels.

This role requires an individual who can confidently handle Medicare billing practices, possess a detailed-oriented nature, and stay up-to-date with the latest billing changes.
