Support Worker Opportunity

This role is for a Support Worker to assist clients with disabilities in skill development and enrichment through engaging activities.

  • You must be confident in building positive relationships with clients and supporting their unique needs.
  • You should be resilient and self-assured, able to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • You need to be skilled in prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
  • You must be flexible, available for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
  • You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • You must hold a valid Australian Driver's License, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • You need to be able to pass a National Criminal History Check.
  • You should have experience working with high-needs Disability clients.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent is highly desirable.

About the Role

  • The Support Worker will engage with clients to develop skills through various activities, including cooking, music, crafts, leisure sports, reading, singing, and more.
  • This role may also involve providing in-home support for clients, which could require working afternoon and night shifts.
