We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Food and Beverage Team Leader to join the leadership team of our Food and Beverage Department at Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns. Compensation Package:

  • A highly competitive salary range of AU$65,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team of F&B experts and drive business growth in one of Australia's premier tourist destinations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations across multiple F&B outlets, including The Backyard restaurant, bar, and garden area, as well as conferences and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and promotional activities
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
  • Monitor and control expenses to achieve profitability targets
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor/Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Team Leader or in a similar leadership role
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and improving operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain RSA certification and valid working rights in Australia
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
