Due to company expansion, Cape York Gulf Remote Area Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Child Care Advisory Association Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Program Coordinator – Level 5, responsible for leading the Escaping Violence Payment program in Cairns.

Job Purpose:
The Program Coordinator is accountable for coordinating daily operations of the EVP team, ensuring timely and compliant administration of EVP payments. This includes providing human resource support, including recruitment and supervising a team of intake workers, caseworkers, community-wellbeing officers, and support staff, promoting a supportive and inclusive team culture.
The Opportunity:
- This is a full-time position based in Cairns with regular travel required in Cape York communities
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the EVP team
- Recruit, supervise, and provide ongoing support to team members
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven leadership skills and attention to detail
- Able to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Ability to work under limited direction and make critical decisions relevant to operational needs
- Resilient and empathetic, able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary package estimated at $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience
