We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our construction project management team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in coordinating and managing projects from conception to completion, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project finances, including cost reporting, forecasting, and variations
  • Coordinating and supervising construction activities, attending meetings, finalizing contracts, and arranging agreements
  • Ensuring site safety and resolving on-site issues
  • Mentoring and developing a team of project managers, providing clear direction, setting expectations, delegating tasks, conducting performance reviews, and offering ongoing feedback and coaching

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders, including renewal managers, equipment project managers, construction teams, contractors, and shopfitters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong experience in construction project management from end to end
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Experience in retail supermarket environments, property, etc.
  • Understanding of construction management methodologies and principles
  • Qualifications in construction management or a construction-based trade are advantageous
