Global Organisation, Human Resource Generalist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our friendly and welcoming team. The primary focus of the role is to provide expert advice on employee engagement strategies, partnering with our leaders in a specific business line.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Human Resources, ideally in generalist advisory roles, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to guide and influence our people.

Key responsibilities include:
• Employee Relations: Partner with the business as a trusted resource for employees and leaders on HR-related issues, handle and resolve complex employee relations matters, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Change Management: Creation of change management and communication plans, consultation and implementation of change activity
• Project Delivery: Lead/support the design and roll out of key lifecycle activities, including annual remuneration review, talent mapping, succession planning
• Governance and Framework Development: Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance, assist in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Career Development: Identify training needs and develop career development plans to ensure employees have meaningful and rewarding learning and development opportunities, support leaders to foster a culture of continuous learning.
• HR Technology & Administration: Use HRIS systems and other HR-related software to streamline processes, maintain accurate data, generate reports, recommend and implement system and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Extensive experience within Human Resources, ideally in generalist advisory roles
  • Experience working in the industry is desirable
  • Previous change management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to guide and influence our people
  • Highly experienced in providing advice and assisting in matters relating to multiple enterprise agreements and industrial instruments
  • Ability to professionally handle confidential material and associated issues
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
