
Land Access Strategy Specialist

Job Description:
This is a challenging opportunity to lead and develop the land access strategy, including acquisitions and approvals. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in complex negotiations and approvals with landholders, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align project activities with our Social Performance framework. Key responsibilities include developing strategic approaches to transmission land access, negotiating compensation and easements, and providing input into line route and site selection processes.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Management or a related field, significant experience in statutory planning and approval strategies, and advanced negotiation and relationship skills. They will also be proactive, tenacious, and able to communicate at all levels of the organisation.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and embed the Land Access strategy, including land acquisition and approvals
- Negotiate highly complex compensation and easements with private property owners
- Provide strategic leadership to Joint Planning Teams for major network projects
- Understand our legal and regulatory obligations related to land access
- Drive the management cadence of monitoring, reporting, and audits of the land access assessment process

Selection Criteria:
