Defence Contracts Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to take on the challenge of managing commercial and sub-contracts within the defence sector. This role requires an individual with experience in contract administration, commercial management, and strategic sourcing.

  • Key responsibilities include verifying and validating Scope of Work (SOW) and Conditions of Contract (CoC)
  • Managing contract governance, including administering head contracts and managing change proposals
  • Developing and submitting contract changes via Contract Change Proposals (CCP)
  • Flow down head contracts to all suppliers
  • Managing Intellectual Property (IP), including warranties and subcontractor deeds
  • Managing Government Furnished Material and Contractor Management Commonwealth Assets
  • Managing technical Data and Software Rights Schedule
  • Managing deed of guarantee and indemnity, bank guarantees, and insurances
  • Managing delays, KPI performance matters, and disputes

Main Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration
  • Leadership experience in defence or engineering organisations
  • Proven ability to develop commercial solutions for large projects
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial and contractual information
  • Experience in developing contract/project pricing and business cases
