About the Role

The role of a Subcontracts Specialist is critical to our Defence High Frequency Communications contract. As demand grows, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at the cutting-edge of military communications technology.

This individual will support all phases of subcontract engagement from strategy and negotiation through to execution, contract management, and closeout. Expertise in this area will ensure compliance, drive commercial performance, manage subcontractor relationships, and help deliver mission-critical outcomes.

Closely collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, this specialist will resolve disputes, support claims, evaluate suppliers, and develop contract terms that align with the prime contract and regulatory requirements.

  • Australian Citizen with a Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or similar field
  • Relevant experience in contracts, subcontracts, procurement, supply chain, finance, or program management, preferably in a Defence context and/or large corporate environment
  • Experience engaging with national and international customers and suppliers
  • Strong experience in contract management, project management, mobilising new projects and negotiation, with a proven track record of successful supplier management and cost savings
