Supporting Children’s Lives in a Leadership Role

The Assistant Coordinator will work closely with the Coordinator to deliver programs for children aged 5-12 years in Before School Care & After School Care and Vacation Care at our Forestville location.

This is a permanent part-time position that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality services that cater to the interests and needs of school-age children.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in support of the Coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day-to-day operation of the service.
  • Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
  • Ensuring compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
  • Advising families about the program, policies, and procedures when required.
  • Providing guidance and support as an Educational Leader within the service.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications or significant experience in working in outside school hours care.
  • Skills and experience in team leadership.
  • Completion of the 'Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk' certificate.
  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • National Criminal History Check.
