Job Title: Compliance Advisor

We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in compliance management of explosives and Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrates (DG) transport legislative requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and ensure all DG/Exp documents, policies and procedures are current and in line with state jurisdictional legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Participate in reviews and maintenance of the safety and security system for transporting explosives and SSAN.
  • Maintain a formal regulatory engagement plan with state regulators.
  • Conduct DG/Exp audits and inspections to ensure vehicles, equipment and drivers are compliant to the relevant legislation.
  • Administer and maintain DG/Exp road transport licencing.
  • Review and maintain existing internal policies and practices relevant to DG/Exp.
  • Work with business development to support Centurion's DG and Exp growth.
  • Contribute to the review and maintenance of transport emergency and incident response frameworks.
  • Attend and provide internal and external advice about DG/Exp transport incidents or emergencies.
  • Conduct methodical investigations into DG/Exp transport incidents.
  • Support HSE team with DG/Exp advice regarding incident investigations.
  • Provide education, support and advice on compliance matters to less experienced staff.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve DG/Exp transport compliance, safety, and security.
  • Provide support and advice to DG/Exp operational managers and schedulers.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in compliance management of explosives and SSAN transport legislative requirements.
  • Broad knowledge of the relevant state DG/Exp legislation, transport codes and road transport requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
