About the Role

The ERA is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join the Monitoring and Licence Compliance team on a 12-month fixed term contract with the possibly of extension/permanency. The successful candidate will help support electricity, gas, and water licensees meet their regulatory obligations.

This role involves interpreting regulatory standards, providing clear and informed advice, and developing recommendations, determinations, and decisions to support and enforce compliance where necessary.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, along with experience in regulatory policy analysis and professional writing. They should be able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative team environment.

A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a small team are essential for success in this role.

  • Policy formulation and strategy development in a regulated environment.

  • Report writing and verbal communication skills to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.

Additional Information

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies that occur throughout the ERA for twelve months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
