Lead and Manage Event Sales, Planning, and Groups Teams.

A seasoned Conference and Events Manager with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams is required to drive event sales, planning, and groups bookings for our NT Cluster. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for maximizing commercial opportunities, developing strategic plans, and implementing effective sales strategies to meet business targets.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize all Conference and Event commercial opportunities by developing and executing targeted sales strategies.
  • Review business plans, identify gaps, and proactively work to fill capacity and meet commercial targets through effective event planning and execution.
  • Contribute strategically to the hotels' commercial strategy and ensure departmental adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and implement strategies to keep the hotel ahead locally through market analysis and trend identification.
  • Account manage the hotels' regular event clients actively to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead the conference and events teams effectively, fostering a culture of high-quality standards, relationship building, exceptional customer service, and profit focus.
  • Develop the Event Sales Team to ensure career growth and succession planning through training and development initiatives.
  • Support and organize hotel promotional activities to drive event bookings and increase revenue.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a Conference and Events Sales role within the hotel/leisure sector with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business indicators and market trends, driving informed decision-making.
  • Excellent sales, conversion skills, and the ability to coach the team in selling techniques.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Responsibility, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure to deliver results.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various work situations, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
