Job opportunity - Event Manager for a cluster of hotels.

This role focuses on driving commercial success by leading and managing event sales and planning teams. The team works with groups, events, and individual travelers across several hotels in the Northern Territory.

The ideal candidate will have experience in conference and events sales within the hotel/leisure sector, strong analytical skills, excellent sales and coaching abilities, strong planning and organizational skills, responsibility, resilience, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maximizing all commercial opportunities related to conferences and events
  • Reviewing business plans, identifying gaps, and filling capacity to meet targets
  • Contributing to the hotels' commercial strategy and ensuring adherence to departmental goals
  • Understanding the competitive marketplace and implementing strategies to stay ahead
  • Account managing regular event clients
  • Leading the conference and events teams, fostering a high-quality culture focused on relationships, customer service, and profitability
  • Developing the Event Sales Team for career progression and succession planning

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of hotel property management systems and previous similar role experience.
