Job Opportunity: HD Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an HD Fitter in Weipa, North Queensland.

The primary responsibilities of this role include servicing and maintaining a fleet of heavy vehicles, attending to breakdowns, and completing general mechanical repairs.

  • Servicing and Maintaining Heavy Vehicles:
  • Ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of Kenworth C509 Road Trains
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent downtime

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending to breakdowns and completing general mechanical repairs
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in heavy vehicles
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety protocols

This is a permanent full-time position offering a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts, including Fly In, Fly Out from Brisbane or Cairns, QLD.

About You:

  • Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality of work
  • Experience with heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Diagnostic, fault finding, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
