About the Role:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular maintenance tasks to ensure all vehicles are operational and meet safety standards
  • Diagnose faults using technical inspection reports and test results, then plan and execute repair work efficiently
  • Work with precision to reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts, ensuring high-quality outcomes
  • Perform minor body repairs and minor trim repairs, taking pride in your attention to detail
  • Identify and resolve issues within electrical systems, such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection, to maintain vehicle functionality
  • Inspect vehicles to issue road worthiness certificates, upholding our commitment to safety

About You:

  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent qualification
  • Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated experience in heavy vehicle maintenance
  • Proven track record in inspecting, repairing and maintaining light, medium and heavy vehicles
  • Current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
  • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance
