A great opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Amberley.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks
Benefits

- Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays

- Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
- Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
- Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces parts
- Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
- Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
- Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
- Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experience
- Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
- Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
- You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
