Senior Climate Reporting Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Group's sustainability reporting programme as we strengthen our climate-related reporting in response to regulatory requirements.

As the Senior Climate Reporting Specialist, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to develop robust climate-related financial reporting processes.

  • Provide technical input and develop supporting technical papers on the application of measurement and reporting requirements in compliance with relevant standards, with a specific focus on metrics and targets, scenario analysis, climate resilience assessment, and financial impacts and exposure.
  • Support the preparation of the Group's climate-related financial disclosures.
  • Ensure robust documentation of processes and identification of controls to support climate-related financial disclosures.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and systems are thoroughly documented, regularly updated, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Actively mentor team members to support their professional growth and development.
  • Provide expert support and challenge for finance activities and offer accounting advice for any business cases developed to support the Group's climate transition plan.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across the Group Head Office, including Finance, Sustainability, Risk, and Underwriting teams.
About You

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting, preferably from an Insurance or Banking background.

You will have a keen interest in climate-specific reporting, and any prior experience within this sector would be highly advantageous.

  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge – AASB/IFRS, with a focus on standards relevant to our business.
  • Strong technical skills enabling analysis of requirements and commercial and practical application.
  • Strong project management and planning capabilities.
  • Proven experience of dealing with people at all levels in the organisation, strong stakeholder management experience, and the ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence within a global team.
