Job Title: Climate Change Specialist

 

 

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an early career professional to support the fast-growing demand for climate change and net-zero strategy in the APAC region.

This is an opportunity to work with a wide range of projects and clients in the sustainability space where you will have the opportunity to develop your career in an energising and fun environment.

You will be directly involved in delivering client projects for large national and multinational companies across several industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on client project teams, reporting to the project managers and directors.
  • Understand and interpret client needs, clearly communicating client goals and overall business objectives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather data using a range of techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, data requests).
  • Utilise data analysis tools, including Excel and GIS, to create tailored reports and, in some cases model and build scenarios.
  • Support on the development of presentations and reports for clients that have a clear narrative and help to inform decisions.
  • Grow professional and industry contacts by representing the company in virtual and out-of-office environments (events, conferences, panels).

Requirements:

  • Educational qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Understanding of core concepts of climate science.
  • Passion and interest in sustainability and sustainable business.
  • Demonstrate understanding of some aspects of climate change strategy, for example:
    • GHG accounting & development of corporate carbon footprints, including Scope 3.
    • Understanding of various net-zero, carbon neutral and other frameworks (including SBTi).
    • Experience developing and implementing decarbonisation strategies.
    • Experience in undertaking climate change risk assessments for organisations, including climate scenario analysis.
