Director of Consumer Energy

- Oversight and integration of teams to deliver the Default Market Offer (DMO) each year and policy and regulatory initiatives that support energy consumers.
- Providing strategic advice to the Board and Senior Executive Team on retail pricing, policy, and regulation.
- Representing the AER and DMO and Consumers Branch to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining high-quality documentation, effective reporting, and communication on relevant projects and organisational-wide activities.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience leading a team or similar role in a fast-paced complex organisation with a focus on people.
- Substantial knowledge and demonstrated experience across policy and regulatory change, stakeholder engagement, and data interpretation and management.
- Expert knowledge of Australian energy markets; understanding of the role, purpose, and objectives of the AER and the complex political environment within which it operates.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields or a relevant field.
This is an ongoing EL2 position that may attract additional allowances based on skills and experience.
