About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tyre Technician to join our team at Mt Thorley mine site in the Hunter Valley, NSW. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive tyre changes/maintenance on a range of mobile mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking planned and reactive tyre changes on a variety of mobile mining equipment
  • Performing routine inspections and assessing wheel components to ensure they remain in service; entering data into our tyre management system
  • Maintaining pressures and quality in accordance with site specifications

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Earthmover tyre fitting on mine sites
  • A Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy (AUR21916/ AUR21920)
  • A valid Open Class driving licence
  • A high level of initiative and ability to work well under pressure
  • An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to adhere to site safety procedures
