Customer Service Specialist Job Summary

This role provides comprehensive support to patients and customers, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and effective communication through various channels.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviews, researches, and resolves telephone and written communication inquiries regarding third-party and private-pay patient accounts.
  • Performs financial counseling and initiates payment plans for private-pay claims.
  • Provides assistance with Care Assurance/Charity patient applications.
Key Requirements:
  • High school-level coursework in English grammar, composition, and basic mathematics.
  • Three years of experience in healthcare billing and/or follow-up or hospital customer service, providing in-depth knowledge of healthcare billing and/or follow-up, insurance payment procedures, and processing, as well as basic telephone etiquette.
