Job Description: Accounts Receivable Specialist - Hotel experience required

Location: Metropolitan at the 9 Hotel - Cleveland, OH, 44115

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with hotel industry experience to join our team at the Metropolitan at the 9 Hotel in Cleveland, OH. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the hotel's accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and daily revenue reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and collections
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports related to accounts receivable
  • Accurately complete daily income reports
  • Communicate with customers to address any billing inquiries or issues
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Ensuring adherence to established accounting policies, prodecures, and internal controls.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, preferably in the hotel industry
  • Proficiency in Marriott PMS systems preferred
  • M3 Accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of hotel billing processes and procedures
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
