About this role

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to lead our food service team at the IKEA Distribution Centre in Marsden Park, NSW.

Key responsibilities
  • Drive the Food department to provide a seamless food offer to co-workers, onsite visitors, and contractors.
  • Lead and coach the operations team to optimise and develop the IKEA Food business.
  • Manage the recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning, and competence development of your team.
  • Secure processes and procedures to ensure quality of food, food safety, excellence in operations, and reduce waste.
  • Implement global and national compliance standards, managing the food supply chain and range competence within the department.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Secure an irresistible food offer by designing menus, ensuring quality, and an appealing range presentation.
Requirements
  • Possess a passion for creating an unforgettable customer experience through your love for food, products, and service delivery.
  • Be an experienced and inspirational leader who can bring out the best in your team.
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience communicating across all levels of the business and internal/external stakeholder management.
  • Have great attention to detail to ensure a high standard of work is produced.
  • Have knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines with excellent awareness of food safety, hygiene, WHS, and manual handling standards.
