About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to lead our food service team at the IKEA Distribution Centre in Marsden Park, NSW.

As a Restaurant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving the food department to provide a seamless food offer to our co-workers, onsite visitors, and contractors.

You will lead and coach the operations team in optimising and developing the IKEA Food business by securing the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance, and people & planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning, and competence development of your team.
  • Securing processes and procedures to ensure quality of food, food safety, excellence in operations, and reduce waste.
  • Implementing global and national compliance standards, managing the food supply chain, and range competence within the department.
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, including inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Designing menus, ensuring quality, and an appealing range presentation to secure an irresistible food offer.

We are looking for a passionate and inspirational leader who can bring out the best in their team and have an inherent nature to develop and nurture growth in people.

Key requirements include:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience communicating across all levels of the business and internal/external stakeholder management.
  • Great attention to detail to ensure a high standard of work is produced with prior experience in managing costs, budgets, and resources/rosters.
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines with excellent awareness of food safety, hygiene, WHS & manual handing standards.
