Additional information:
This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
The internal job title for this role is Unit Food Operations Manager.
This role is base on-site at IKEA Distribution Centre, Marsden Park, NSW .
In this role you will have a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts (from 5:45am to 9:30pm). You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).

About this work area

This is a unique opportunity to join the IKEA Distribution Centre at Marsden Park. In this unique role you will be leading a small hospitality team in a large warehousing environment, offering a 16hr food service direct to co-workers.

As a Restaurant Operations Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Drive the Food department within our Sydney Distribution Centre, to provide a seamless food offer to our co-workers, onsite visitors, and contractors.
Lead and coach the operations team in optimising and developing the IKEA Food business by securing the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance, and people & planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints.
Manage the recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning and competence development of your team.
Secure processes and procedures to ensure quality of food, food safety, excellence in operations and reduce waste.
Implement global and national compliance standards, managing the food supply chain and range competence within the department.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including inventory management and ordering of supplies.
Secure an irresistible food offer by designing menus, ensuring quality and an appealing range presentation.

Passionate about creating an unforgettable customer experience through your love for food, the products and service delivery.
An experienced and inspirational leader who can bring out the best in your team and have an inherent nature to develop and nurture growth in people.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience communicating across all levels of the business and internal/external stakeholder management.
Great attention to detail to ensure a high standard of work is produced with prior experience in managing costs, budgets, and resources/rosters.
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines with excellent awareness of food safety, hygiene, WHS & manual handing standards is required.
