Job Description

As a Marine Construction Supervisor or Superintendent, you will embark on a challenging and rewarding career opportunity.

Key responsibilities include effectively supervising subcontractors executing the marine scope of the project.

You will be responsible for overseeing construction of a new LCT logistics facility and upgrades to the existing jetty.

This position is based on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea, working 28 days on, 14 days off roster. FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns is preferred.

Key performance indicators include managing costs, schedules, progress, and productivity.

Ensuring all projects are managed in accordance with contract terms, project goals, and objectives while remaining compliant with quality/integrated management system inclusive of administration requirements and document control.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Civil or Structural Engineering Degree with previous experience in Maritime Engineering.
  • 10+ years of construction experience, with significant supervision experience managing subcontractors.
  • Extensive experience in all relevant aspects of marine on-site construction, including jetties and wharves.
  • Familiarity with maritime HM&E systems and naval construction processes.
  • Training and experience in managing on-site safety and personnel issues.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving working skills with experience working on site in a fast-paced construction environment.
