Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing sampling on soil, water, and air samples in a fast-paced laboratory setting. This role requires a technically oriented individual with great attention to detail and a demonstrated minimum of 2 years' experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weighing and preparation of samples
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and instrumentation according to national standards
  • Contributing to the maintenance of laboratory quality control and assurance systems
  • Reporting low stock levels of consumables, standards, chemicals etc

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to reason and interpret data with good attention to detail and clear record keeping
  • Intermediate or higher level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Full rights to work full-time in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident)
  • Demonstrated 2 years' experience within a laboratory
  • Tertiary qualification related to chemistry or a related field
  • Positive attitude
