Job Description

Our organization seeks a skilled and experienced Instrument Chemist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tasks with precision and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with established quality procedures.
  • Supervise and train laboratory staff to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Prioritize daily workload to meet deadlines and deliver results efficiently.
  • Operate and maintain various instrumentation systems.
  • Report results in accordance with quality work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory's QC and HSE requirements.
  • Prepare standards for sample analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a commercial laboratory setting.
  • Previous experience operating GC/FID, GCMS, or LCMSMS instruments is essential.
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree, preferably in Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A working knowledge of organic sample preparation techniques for environmental samples is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Interest in method development, verification, and validation.
  • A solid understanding of lab safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a team environment.
  • A keen interest in organic chemistry and associated analysis techniques.
