Cyber insurance is evolving rapidly, and Cowbell is at the forefront of this revolution. By leveraging technology and data, we provide small and medium-sized enterprises with advanced warning of cyber risk exposures bundled with cyber insurance coverage adaptable to today's threats and tomorrow's challenges.

Our approach involves continuous risk assessment and underwriting, ensuring policyholders' cyber risk exposures are continuously monitored and evaluated. Our unique AI-based method for risk selection and pricing compresses the insurance process from submission to issue to less than 5 minutes.

As a key responsibility, you will maintain profitability through appropriate risk selection, analysis, and service of accounts based on our guidelines. Building and managing relationships with insurance brokers to negotiate pricing, coverages, and other terms is also crucial.

Servicing renewal business throughout the year while maintaining exceptional customer service standards is another vital duty. Collaboration with the Business Development team to support their goals and strengthen partnerships with brokers is essential.

Maintaining an expansive knowledge of the cyber insurance marketplace and current trends in the industry is vital. Easily identifying areas where our unique capabilities provide a competitive advantage and building out processes that support these is necessary.

Actively participating in determining the approach to emerging threats, loss trends, marketplace changes, and other trends in cyber risks is critical. Partnering with the Engineering and Data Science teams to continually improve technology and deliverables to the policyholder is also important.

As a subject matter expert for the team on coverage questions, you will serve as a trusted advisor. Collaborating with a passionate team, having fun, growing, learning, and teaching the company along the way is also essential.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4+ years of underwriting cyber underwriting experience
  • Technical expertise and product knowledge in Commercial Insurance
  • Demonstrate ability to build a profitable book of cyber business
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, underwriting, and pricing strategies
  • Superb sales and marketing skills; must be able to demonstrate successful agency and broker management, including building, maintaining, and managing producer and customer relationships
  • Proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop broker relationships
  • Strong track record of service orientation and teamwork
