Risk Management Specialist Role Overview

This key position is critical to ensuring resilience in an increasingly complex digital landscape. You will provide independent oversight and assurance over cyber, technology, and data risk management practices, while supporting improvements through advisory and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Oversight and Technology, Cyber and Data teams to enhance risk management practices.
  • Provide independent oversight and challenge Line 1 activities, including incident and issue management.
  • Deliver actionable insights through business-friendly reporting for executive and board stakeholders.
  • Conduct thematic reviews and deep dives into cyber, technology, and data risk areas.
  • Advise on control design and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Contribute to integrated assurance plans and develop enterprise-wide risk frameworks.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in cyber or technology risk.
  • A strong understanding of risk fundamentals, business processes, and assurance methods.
  • Experience in either Line 1 or 2 risk in the financial services industry.
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to translate complex risk concepts into practical recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills.
