We are seeking a skilled Nurse to provide holistic and comprehensive care to patients in our Withdrawal Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated individual to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of others.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Nurse Team Leader and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. The role involves conducting clinical observations, providing low-medical support, and developing health-related treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting clinical observations and assessments
  • Providing low-medical support, including medication administration and basic wound care
  • Developing health-related treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other team members
  • Working collaboratively with the Nurse Team Leader and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or equivalent in Nursing and current Div 1 certificate
  • Practical experience in AOD sector service delivery, with an understanding of addictive behavior and drugs
  • Demonstrated skills in triage, medical assessment, decision making, and providing appropriate nursing interventions during crisis
  • Demonstrated competence in infection control procedures
  • Competent computer skills to use Microsoft office programs such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint
  • Ability to work a rotating roster of morning, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and weekdays
