We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Oncology/Haematology Ward, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and compassion.

Our ward is a 30-bed unit that cares for patients at all stages, from diagnosis to complex treatment and acute admissions, as well as end-of-life care.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care, working closely with senior staff as required.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing personalized care plans that prioritize their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
  • Promote effective communication among healthcare teams, facilitating collaboration and cooperation within the department and across the hospital.
  • Provide patient education, acting as a valuable resource and advocate for their needs.
  • Support and supervise staff, including orienting and precepting new colleagues, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
