Senior Road Infrastructure Manager

This is a leadership role that demands strategic project management capabilities, technical acumen, and the ability to mentor junior staff while collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Oversee the delivery of infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation projects, ensuring timely completion and budget efficiency.
- Act as the Principal's Representative on construction contracts and oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide high-level technical and engineering advice to ensure project success, value for money, and adherence to industry standards.
- Monitor progress reporting, financial forecasting, and quality assurance to optimize project outcomes.
- Develop and implement project documentation, aligning it with safety, environmental, and legislative prerequisites.
- Nurture effective working relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and the community, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and supervision in line with relevant certification requirements.
- Promote safety and sustainability throughout all project phases, ensuring a responsible approach to project execution.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with extensive experience managing road infrastructure projects, from design through to delivery.
They will have demonstrated expertise in managing the full lifecycle of road infrastructure projects, particularly in urban and high-speed road environments. They will also possess a strong understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and tender evaluation, enabling them to make informed decisions and drive project success.
