We are a K-12 school that balances academic achievement with care and concern for each student's character development and wellbeing, grounded in the Christian faith.

Our college has five campuses across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and Surf Coast region, as well as a rural experience for Year 9 students and a unique Art, Technology, and Design campus for Senior School students.

The Role

This is a full-time position for 3 years, commencing from the 2025 Academic Year. The primary purpose of this role is to support the implementation of quality, evidence-based teaching and learning practices, as well as supporting teachers in the implementation of adjustments for students with a disability and/or learning difficulties.

The Learning Support Coordinator will:

  1. Coordinate the Learning Support staff, including managing the ESO learning support timetables to ensure appropriate coverage is in place for certain students.
  2. Raise and promote awareness and skill in supporting students with additional learning needs due to disability or giftedness.
  3. Liaise with parents, teachers, chaplaincy, leadership, students, external medical, and allied health providers in the initial and ongoing identification and support of students with additional learning challenges and extension needs.
Requirements

  1. Recognised teaching qualification or qualifications and experience with inclusive education for students with a disability and/or learning difficulty.
  2. Proven, effective leadership qualities.
  3. The ability to coordinate a team in which each member will be valued as a contributor to the success of the College.
  4. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Strive for excellence and take pride in what you do.
