About the Role

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is a 34 bed unit with 22 ICU funded beds and 12 lower dependency beds. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife to join our team in providing patient centred and evidence informed nursing care that promotes improved neonatal health outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for caring for low dependency neonates through to ICU level, working closely with our Clinical Nurse Educators and senior colleagues to ensure you feel supported and are able to progress your career in neonatal nursing. Our comprehensive educational program includes a series of workshops throughout the first 12 months to support your progression.

Requirements
  • Current nurse or midwife registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
