Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Officer is a pivotal role within our financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processes across the resort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process credit applications and establish AR accounts with accuracy to ensure timely payment processing.
  • Maintain debtor records, verifying creditor details and invoicing documentation to minimize discrepancies.
  • Prepare and issue invoices for services and room rates, aligning with company policies.
  • Manage daily payment processing and reconciliations, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Respond to debtor inquiries, resolving disputes and refunds in a fair and timely manner.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and escalate unresolved issues to prevent further complications.
  • Review and process commissions and travel agent payments, adhering to established procedures.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and credit reviews, providing valuable insights for management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial procedures.
  • Exceptional proficiency in advanced Excel skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a keen eye for error detection and prevention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
