Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

Purpose: As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be an organized professional with exceptional communication skills and a strong aptitude for numbers. You will play a crucial role in supporting operational and financial teams across various regions.

The Role:

  • A background in finance is not essential but desirable.
  • A solid understanding of hotel workings and numbers is essential.
  • This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
  • You will work in a small finance team, supporting the wider group, handling up to 100 properties across multiple states in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, collate, and send client monthly statements for properties within your assigned portfolio.
  • Monitor outstanding debt, ensuring timely payments of invoices.
  • Reconcile and assist with credit and non-credit groups invoicing and follow-up.
  • Maintain clear and constant communication with operations and finance teams to ensure timely processed data continuity.
  • Uphold rigorous adherence to established financial procedures, safeguarding confidentiality and contributing to a seamless financial operation.
  • Work with and maintain constructive relationships with your Manager, Groups, and Property teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of current experience as a Receptionist, Hotel Guest Service Agent, Night Auditor, or hotel finance officer.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and numbers.
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of transactions.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, with knowledge of SIHOT desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
