Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the transformation of our agency. As General Manager, Enablement, Preparedness and Productivity, you will be responsible for overseeing the core enabling functions of the agency, including stakeholder engagement, governance, finance, HR, ICT, legal, communications, risk, and security.

You will lead a high-performing branch of around 40 staff in Canberra, driving transformational change to align corporate functions with our new legislative framework and strategic direction. Your leadership will unlock the full potential of already strong teams, ensuring we continue to deliver world-leading food standards while preparing for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive transformational change to align corporate functions with our new legislative framework and strategic direction.
  • Champion a culture of excellence, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead digital enablement, governance, and workforce capability to strengthen productivity and resilience.
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive to set organisational strategy and deliver on our mission.
  • Ensure effective governance, probity, and risk management across all enabling functions.
Requirements:
