Building Compliance Trainee

We're seeking a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in building surveying and compliance while working on a wide range of commercial and aviation projects.

The ideal candidate will be currently in the final year of studying or recently completed tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or Construction Management.

Prior experience with class 2-9 projects is highly desirable, but not essential. We're looking for someone with a strong interest in building compliance, construction legislation, and the National Construction Code (BCA).

  1. A degree in Building Surveying or Construction Management.
  2. Prior experience with BCA / NCC assessments and technical reporting.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Able to manage time effectively and work within project deadlines.

You'll be supported by experienced Building Surveyors and Airport Building Controllers and gain exposure to the assessment of major developments under federal legislation.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include assisting with BCA / NCC assessments and technical reporting, supporting the preparation and tracking of documentation for permits and approvals, attending site inspections, and maintaining and organising project files.
