Compliance Leader

The Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in embedding and enhancing regulatory compliance capability across the organization. This position supports the implementation of the company's Compliance Strategy and standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and fostering a proactive risk culture.

This is a leadership opportunity to mentor Compliance Professionals and collaborate across functional teams to deliver best-practice compliance outcomes. The Compliance Leader will work closely with Business Unit leaders and other stakeholders to provide pragmatic compliance advice, design and implement effective controls, and monitor adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.

This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance is owned and managed at the source, strengthening the control environment, and driving continuous improvement in compliance practices. The Compliance Leader will also contribute to risk-in-change assessments, support governance initiatives, and lead the implementation of remedial actions to uplift compliance maturity across the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned compliance professional with deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and risk management, ideally within financial services. They will bring a strong understanding of APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies, and have a proven track record in designing and implementing effective compliance controls.

The Compliance Leader will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements. They will also collaborate with the Risk team to identify and mitigate risks associated with business operations.
