The role of Operational Risk Manager/Senior Manager – Global Markets is a pivotal position within the Global Operational Risk team.

This team plays a vital part in supporting our markets-facing business groups manage their risk profile through the refinement and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves providing independent oversight of the operational risk profile of our markets-facing businesses, reviewing new business initiatives, and ensuring key operational risks are identified and managed.

You will also review and challenge the scope and outcome of business risk reporting, targeted assessments, significant incidents, key risk indicators, projects, and assurance activities. Additionally, you will analyse operational risk data to identify risk themes and facilitate improved risk management.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit gained within an international financial institution or financial services firm
  • Experience in financial markets and/or commodities trading and financing
  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment in which we operate
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels
  • A tertiary degree in Finance or a related area, with relevant postgraduate degrees or professional qualifications being valuable
