Derivatives Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Derivatives Specialist to support our regulatory monitoring and oversight for derivatives activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

About the Role

This role provides crucial oversight of derivatives operations, guaranteeing robust controls, effective risk management, and alignment with our risk appetite. You will work closely with stakeholders, providing feedback and recommendations to ensure regulatory compliance and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and conduct thorough oversight and monitoring of derivatives activities within our operations.
  • Act as the second line of defence, scrutinizing controls and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Review and monitor client communications, providing expert feedback to employees to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence in communication.
  • Perform Compliance monitoring, report results, and recommend improvements to derivatives activities and controls.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience with derivatives, preferably in FX options.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter while contributing effectively in a team environment.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders in a robust yet commercially minded manner.
