Salary Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $95,000 - $120,000, plus benefits such as superannuation, attractive hourly rates, and generous leave options.

Job Description
  • As a Clinical Psychologist at headspace Port Macquarie Centre, you will be responsible for delivering short to medium-term counseling using evidence-based therapies such as Single Session Therapy, DBT, and CBT.
  • You will actively work with young people to facilitate their recovery and development goals, conducting risk assessments and safety planning to address issues related to family violence, mental health, and substance misuse.
  • Your expertise will also contribute to regular clinical case reviews and multi-disciplinary team meetings, helping to shape effective clinical service pathways and enhance service delivery.
Key Deliverables
  1. Providing high-quality mental health care to young people, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and short-term treatment interventions.
  2. Engaging in prompt, collaborative communication with referring doctors and specialists to ensure the best patient outcomes.
  3. Staying at the forefront of clinical practice by utilizing the latest evidence to inform therapeutic interventions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fully registered as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a fully registered Clinical Psychologist.
  • A deep understanding of evidence-based interventions and clinical practice, including CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, or IPT.
  • Certification in DBT and CBT.
