Commercial Finance Leader Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Commercial Finance Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance and influencing strategic direction. You will be responsible for building and uplifting FP&A capability across the group, leading month-end reporting and forecasting processes, and partnering with senior leaders to challenge, support, and shape decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive FP&A strategies that drive business growth and improvement
  • Lead and manage a team of financial analysts to deliver high-quality financial reporting and analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key business initiatives and develop strategic plans to achieve them
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in on key financial and business initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial finance or FP&A, preferably in FMCG or agribusiness
  • CPA or CA qualification and advanced skills in using FP&A tools beyond Excel, prioritization, and project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop insights-driven recommendations
