Asset Systems Engineer

This position involves providing high-level service delivery while effectively managing Council's asset systems according to accounting standards and fair value measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the maintenance of a register of Council assets, including roads, drainage, footpaths, cycle ways, bridges, recreational facilities, aerodromes, land, water supply and sewerage systems.
- Develop and maintain Council's Asset Management Systems and associated registers, preparing asset information required by the organisation in compliance with Council policies and relevant statutory requirements.
- Correlate information associated with the maintenance of Council assets, including planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Conduct site surveys for collection of asset condition and detail information and verify recorded data.
- Provide infrastructure information for the preparation of asset renewal and replacement programs.
- Produce and maintain a compilation of Council asset plans using information from existing and newly acquired assets.
- Record and update asset information in Council's GIS and AMS.
- Provide accurate and efficient data input and records management using Council data capture devices and systems.
