Job Title: Inflammatory Bowel Disease Specialist

 

We are seeking a skilled specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in the management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients suffering from IBD, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing outpatient IBD clinics and ward consults for IBD patients
  • Reviewing IBD patients in the Day Therapy Unit and attending weekly IBD patient review sessions
  • Participating in clinical trials of new agents for the treatment of IBD conditions
  • Developing skills in clinical and/or basic scientific research in IBD conditions
  • Leading a Rapid Access Clinic and a general gastroenterology clinic
  • Independently performing endoscopy lists
  • Contributing to other activities, including participating in the general on-call roster, inpatient care, and attending scientific and quality assurance meetings

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed the three-year Gastroenterology Advanced Training program and hold CCRTGE Certification for gastroscopy and colonoscopy. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
